I am a fully CIPD-qualified HR specialist and throughout my 20-year career in human resources, I have developed expertise across the full spectrum of both strategic and operational HR.

I’ve been lucky enough to have gained my experience across a diverse range of sectors, including sport (UK Sport), environmental landscape planning and design (LUC), media (Future), publishing (Penguin), higher education (LSBU), government (ORR) and housing (Newlon). While every sector is unique, they are all equally fascinating and, most importantly, they’re all fuelled by talented people doing brilliant things.

My empathy, curiosity and humour have enabled me to create and sustain strong partnerships and make a real difference to every organisation I work with. I’m credible, decisive and can have tough conversations.

As a consultant, I take time to fully understand the challenges of every business and individual I work with. I’m pragmatic, I keep things simple and I love helping businesses solve people puzzles. I also know my stuff. I won’t bore you with it (unless you want me to), but I find organisational psychology, HR best practice and employment law fascinating. I keep myself up to date, which means you can trust that any advice and guidance I give you is accurate.

Fee structure

Growing companies need flexible and reactive access to HR services, and my fee structure reflects this. I view my involvement with each client as an ongoing and long-term partnership that reflects each company’s needs at that particular moment.

I work with either an ‘on call’ retainer, day rate or single project rate, or a mixture of all three that best suits each client budget.
